Plant Medicines

Ayahuasca is Calling

Another day, another detour. Neurofeedback is once again on the back burner since the recent QEEG showed brain activity to be within normal ranges – whatever that means. Basically nothing jumped out at the practitioner that screamed I would benefit from Neurofeedback. (How interesting it would be if my levels became normalized after all those sessions of NeurOptimal, but we’ll never know.)  I do appreciate the honesty because I very easily could have been convinced to come back for 10 or more Neurofeedback sessions.

If I can’t rewire my brain through Neurofeedback, I still have an exciting backup plan. In fact, I’m steps closer to a December 2015 visit to the Amazon to work with Shamans and plant medicines like Ayahuasca and Huachuma. And when I say work, all the research I’ve done reveals just how much one goes through mentally and physically when exploring these medicines.

My intentions going into this is to surrender control, trust the process, and face my deepest fears to truly heal from traumas that have held me back in life spiritually, emotionally and physically – something no amount of talk therapy, medications, self help books, hypnosis, massages or other alternative therapies have helped me achieve. An added bonus would be relief from daily headaches, hormonal migraines, and the increasing anxiety and fidgeting that causes my knuckles and jaw major pain. No matter the outcome(s), I know this will be the experience of a lifetime, and one I won’t ever have to regret not taking.

My story, in case you’re wondering why I’ve decided to take the plunge can be found here.

Please do your own research when it comes to putting any substance in your body.

    1. Thank you, Kersten! I trust that I’m in great hands and will be safe and guided through the process, however difficult. I’m sure I’ll have a ton to share when I return!
